This is the new KC Link. If you were subscribed to the mailing list, an account has already been created for you, and all you need to do is trigger a "forgotten password" request to set a password for your account. Here are step-by-step instructions:
- Step one: find your username. For those that were a part of the mailing list, your username is the first portion of your e-mail address before the @ symbol. For example, if your e-mail address was "firstname.lastname@example.org", your username will be "john345".
- Step two: type your username into the box below labeled "Username". Click the "Submit" button. This will trigger a forgotten password e-mail to be sent to your e-mail address.
- Step three: go to your e-mail inbox and find the "Reset your password" e-mail that will have been sent. Follow the steps in that e-mail to choose a new password. After that, you should be done!
What if I receive the error "There was no account found for this username"?
Usernames on the new KC Link cannot contain special characters, such as periods, underscores, spaces, and periods. If your e-mail address has these, they will have been stripped out.
So, if your e-mail address was email@example.com, your username will not be "john_345", but rather just "john345". The underscore will have been removed when your account was created.
If you have trouble gaining access to your account, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
